How does an on delay timer work?
With ON-delay operation, the Timer receives an input and then an output signal is output by switching the Timer contacts after a set time delay. This name is used because there is a delay between when the input signal is received (i.e., turns ON) and when the output signal is output.

In the On Delay Mode: When power is applied to the coil, the timer will delay for the preset time before energizing the relay. The relay will remain energized as long as power is applied. At the end of the time period, the relay will de-energize and remain de-energized until power is removed from the coil.
